Supporting our community

The Shed has an outward focus, seeking to provide whatever support we can give to our community.

Local primary schools have been provided with items ranging from ‘Bug Hotels’ to ‘Little Free Library Boxes’

Since we opened our doors we have supported the Walk of Art by providing provision of boards cut to the shape of whatever the theme is for that year - from hot air balloons to bootprints.

Horsforth Walk of Art

In 2024 our most ambitious project has been a Big Build – creating the building to house Horsforth Community Pantry. Measuring 10 x 3 metres with both a storage area and shopping area the Pantry was completed in record time. Once again volunteers stepped up to the mark with the fantastic support of some professional contractors who gave their services free of charge. Fully insulated and well equipped the Pantry provides a sadly needed resource for our local community.
